What I Learned During My First Weekend on Medium
I first discovered Medium a few months ago. Over the years I had read countless articles on many topics before I really knew what the site was or that I could even write for it.
On Feb. 12, 2021, I researched more about what Medium was, a freelancing writing site anyone can use to sharpen their writing skills, build their portfolio and maybe earn some side money. I finally decided to join.
The process was quick and painless. All I made to do was sign-up, become a member and register into the Medium Partner Program.
Since joining two days ago, I have written at least a dozen articles, gained over 300 views and learned many lessons about writing, life and what it takes to succeed on Medium.
Write down all of your ideas.
Whenever an idea pops into your head, write it down. Like a journalist or any writer for that matter, writing down everything is essential for a writing career.
The more you write down your ideas, the more material you will have for new articles. Each time I write an article, I normally write down three or four new ideas.
Always keep them handy because you never know when you will need them. You don’t want to struggle for inspiration when you feel like writing.
Stay consistent.
